“Do I really need to wash my face every morning and night?”

Short answer: Yes. No skipping.

Face washing is the foundation of any good skincare routine. If this step isn’t consistent, nothing else works the way it should.

Morning cleanse:

While you sleep, your skin is still working—producing oil, shedding dead skin cells, and picking up bacteria (and yes… from your pillowcase too). Cleansing in the morning clears all of that away so your pores don’t get congested and your skin doesn’t look dull. It also gives you a clean slate for skincare and makeup to actually do their job.

Night cleanse:

This one is non-negotiable. Throughout the day your skin collects dirt, pollution, oil, sunscreen, and makeup. If that stays on your skin overnight, it can clog pores, trigger breakouts, and interfere with your skin’s natural repair process. Washing your face at night removes all of that and preps your skin to heal and renew while you sleep.

So yes—morning and night cleansing matters. It keeps your skin clean, balanced, and healthy, and it’s one of the simplest ways to prevent breakouts, congestion, and irritation. Consistency here makes everything else work better.
